Program Philosophy
The Tri-County Soccer Club Academy Program is designed to develop players in our U10 and U12 age groups who wish to transition from the recreational program to select soccer. The program is geared toward the advanced recreational player who desires to increase both the technical and tactical areas of the game. The Academy Program is not recommended for the casual player.
Training Schedule
Academy training sessions will be more intense and include more advanced activities designed to sharpen both technical and tactical aspects of the game. Commitment to practice is vital to success in the Academy program. Otherwise, players will not see desired results. TCSC provides team training opportunities two nights per week. Dependent on team assignment, players will meet for team training sessions on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Recommended optional workshops focusing on specific skill sets will also be offered periodically throughout the season for participants. Training sessions will last roughly 90 minutes. Players are also expected to work at home on basic technical skills such as juggling, ball handling, passing, etc.
League Play
TCSC Academy teams will participate in the CESA Academy League in Greenville. Most of these matches will be played on Sunday afternoons.
Tournaments
Teams are also encouraged to participate in local and regional tournaments as a supplement to regular season league play.
